You have heard it said that you get out of life what you put in to it. This is seen as a universal truth. The more you put in the more you get out, and still life demands more of you at every turn. Your job has deadlines, your children have sports and extra circular activities. Many of the things demanding your time are good and you should continue to do them. And still your passions slip away, the time for yourself is slipping and disappearing. Your pants fit a little tighter, your cheeks are a little more puffy than last year, you avoid the scale. The doctor finally says, “you could lose a couple pounds” a lot coming from a guy/gal in the same situation as you. So what do you do?

Stop

Thats right, not another moment, dollar, minute or more. Stop and say, “is this the life I want?” what about the physique, are you in your ideal body? You need to stop and think about what your doing today, will that get you what you want tomorrow? If the equation is Input=output, describe the inputs and more importantly define the output. Now does the equation work?

Decide

Is today another day of the same inputs and outputs that are not producing the result you want? You have permission to step off the carousel of familiarity and step into the journey of change. The Decision to start will be your most important. The fitness journey is that of discipline, focus, commitment, and most importantly consistency. How you do it, who you do it with, where you do it from, what workout plan/program? These are all secondary, first things first you must DECIDE to start.
